Gigi Rosso is one of the first wineries you come across on the road from Alba to Barolo. It’s easy to spot, with direct access and ample parking. You don’t have to look for it — it’s right there, ready to welcome you.

The winery has been open to visitors since 1989. In a territory that can feel complex and fragmented, it offers a clear starting point — a place to get your bearings, understand the landscape of the Langhe, and begin to explore its wines. Visits take place regularly, often led by a member of the family.

Every visit is an opportunity to enter the heart of production: to descend into the underground cellars, walk among the steel tanks and the oak barrels where Barolo rests for up to five years, understand the techniques of fermentation and ageing, and return upstairs for a guided tasting.

Visits are available in Italian, English and German.

In the cellar, we keep a collection of Barolo Riserva dating back to 1982 — a story of the estate told one bottle at a time. On request, one of these bottles from the 1980s can be opened and tasted together with the producer. An experience for true enthusiasts.
